About the role

What we are building at Conveo

Conveo is the AI research platform enabling fast, affordable, and high quality consumer / B2B research. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and Orange use our AI video interviewer to generate insights across marketing, and product teams.

This role can sit in either our London or Antwerp office .

#1 What problem are we solving and why is this an important problem to solve

The current/traditional research methods companies rely on are slow, expensive, and superficial. Running great research also requires expertise which is a blocker to many companies. That directly affects how well companies understand their customers and how well they can serve them.

#2 The team you will join

You will join an extremely talented team of incredibly passionate, high-energy people. We go the extra mile while having the best time of our lives. Our team has the combination of decades of market research knowledge, incredible engineering ability, and experience building companies.

#3 How we operate

  • We truly care about our clients and the problem we solve. That means we humbly go the extra mile every time.
  • Our engineering team talks directly with our customers. No layers in between.
  • We work hard and we have fun.
  • To keep our quality bar incredibly high, we want to execute with the smallest possible team.

The Role

As a Senior Product Engineer at Conveo, you'll spearhead the development lifecycle for the AI-powered platform, taking ownership of features from initial specifications through deployment. You'll build applications where AI is seamlessly integrated as core technology, not just an add-on feature. You'll stay at the cutting edge of AI capabilities.
A big part of your role will involve direct contact with our customers. Since we have no product managers, you'll be responsible for directly interfacing with clients, understanding their needs, and translating those into technical solutions. This customer-facing aspect is crucial for ensuring we build exactly what solves their problems.
Beyond coding, you'll actively participate in product refinement and brainstorming sessions, directly influencing both what we build and how we build it, making this an opportunity to have significant technical and strategic impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience building full-stack applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Strong backend experience: designing APIs, working with PostgreSQL, and managing background jobs and async workflows.
  • Solid frontend skills with React. Experience with React Router v7 or Remix is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP) — you're comfortable with services like S3, media pipelines, and deployment tooling.
  • Experience building AI-driven applications (e.g. prompt engineering, working with LLM APIs, and/or fine-tuning experience are a plus).
  • Can independently lead projects from concept to launch.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a keen eye for detail.
  • A collaborative mindset, able to work autonomously in a small, fast-paced team.

Why Join Us?

  • Ship alongside engineers who've built and scaled products used by millions.
  • Work directly with frontier AI models and push what they can actually do.
  • Join a YC-backed team that's growing fast and gives you room to grow with it.
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity. We want you to own a real piece of what we're building.
  • Offices in London, Antwerp, and New York. We work best together, so we ask for 3 days a week in the office.
  • Regular socials: rooftop drinks, team dinners, run clubs, and more.
  • Twice-yearly off-sites to places worth travelling to. Austria, Las Vegas, and Portugal coming up. 🥳
  • Private health coverage.
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution.
  • Refer someone great and earn up to $5,000.

About Conveo

Founded in 2024 and backed by Y Combinator, Conveo is the leading AI-powered customer insights platform. We help the world's largest companies understand their customers — running hundreds of in-depth video interviews overnight, across any language, at a fraction of the cost and time of traditional research.

Since launch, we've become a trusted partner for Unilever, P&G, Nestlé, Google, Canva, and 400+ enterprise teams globally.

What we're building

Customer insights has been broken for decades — slow, expensive, and impossible to scale. A study that used to take weeks of scheduling, interviewing, and manual analysis now runs overnight. Our AI moderates real conversations the way a trained researcher would: listening actively, probing for depth, and building on each answer. Over 70% of the insights we surface come from AI-driven follow-up questions — depth that no survey has ever achieved.

The result is a platform that doesn't just run studies. It builds a living knowledge layer — so every team in an organization can ask questions about their customers and get answers grounded in real human voices.

The opportunity

The market research industry is $100B. The qualitative slice alone is $30B. And AI is expanding what's possible, not just automating what exists. We're early in a long game.

The team

Our Head of Research, Niels Schillewaert, founded Human8 — a 600-person global insights agency. Our CEO co-founded a $75M ARR startup, Datacamp, as CTO. Our commercial team comes from McKinsey and includes former VPs from Ipsos. We raised a $5.3M seed round in early 2025.

The moment

We entered 2026 as a team of ~20. We're on track to reach 120 people by year end. If you want to join a company at the exact inflection point between early-stage scrappiness and real scale — this is it.
